In all the kerivalam root temples use insane stick and karpuram, by which all bad thoughts will be prevented.

Know the timings and do not try to complete in hurry. If the thithi is at night time then it is good to perform kerivalam at that time.

Perform kerivalam without footwear. Children, elderly and sick persons can perform on vehicle.

During kerivalam try to say panjatchara mantra can be recited

After completing kerivalam go home with out diversion.
