and hot food from multiple restaurants, has expanded operations, tying up
multiple partnerships with Travel Food Services (TFS), Indian Railways (IRCTC)
and other global players. Bringing state-of-the-art automated outlets across
key airports, railway stations and other key transit points in India and across
the globe, the ‘automated convenience store’ is also making inroads in IT
parks, corporate hubs, hospitals and other public places. Founder and CEO
Satish Chamy Velumani from Chennai says they plan to create a global enterprise
with over a 1,000 outlets across multiple countries in the next two to three
years.
On the expansion, Velumani reveals that it has been in the
offing for a couple of years. “We have developed the product and service to an
extent today that we’re ready for a global expansion. The customer response at
the outlet in Chennai International Airport, for instance, has been extremely
good. With the latest in technology, the time is ripe for this move.”
