Meditation, using the right oil and a balanced diet are keys to physical and mental fitness

Q. What are your key cooking tips for health and fitness?
Use the right oils, unrefined and pure unfiltered oils, and the right salt, which is not processed. Cook lightly and steam a lot. Never use olive oil for Indian cooking. Go back to traditional methods like using jaggery instead of sugar.

Q. What are the top five myths about nutrition and food?
(1) You need more protein to gain muscle and lose weight, (2) Fat makes you fat, (3) Eating salads and soups will make you healthy and thin (4) Nuts will make you fat and (5) eat less and work out more to lose weight.
