Matchbox Size Saree, Shawl as Gift for Obamas

KARIMNAGAR (TELANGANA): A Sircilla-based powerloom weaver, who earned a reputation for his fine weaving skills, is all set to add another feather in his cap by weaving a silk saree and shawl that could fit in matchboxes to be presented to US President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle, who are scheduled to visit the country from January 25.

Nalla Vijay met Union Minister for Labour Bandaru Dattatreya in Hyderabad on Saturday and handed over the gifts, to be presented to the Obama couple by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The 27-year-old weaver had earlier made a similar saree and shawl and presented them to UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi. 

Speaking to Express over phone, Vijay said the Union Minister appreciated his skills and promised that he would see to it that the gifts are presented to the US first couple. Vijay said he worked on the powerloom for 15 days to weave the special shawl and saree.

“While the 4.5-metre-long saree weighs 60 gm, the 2-metre-long shawl weighs only 30 gm. These two fabrics are packed in two separate matchboxes,” he said.

Vijay said he is expecting an invitation from the Prime Minister’s Office to meet the US President to explain the skills and traditions of Sircilla weavers.  “I have learnt this intricate work from my forefathers and I wish it is continued by the next generation weavers as well,” he added with a smile.

His father Nalla Parandhamulu is also an accomplished weaver, who had woven a similar matchbox silk saree and had presented it to then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. 

My father also wove a 112-metre-long national flag, weighing 600 gm, and that was displayed in the Atlanta Olympics in 1996, Vijay said.

வலம்புரி சங்கு பூஜையால் ஏற்படும் நன்மைகள்!

வலம்புரிச் சங்கு பூஜிக்கப்பட்டு வரும் இல்லங்களில், பிரம்மஹத்தி முதலான அனைத்துவகை தோஷங்களும் அகன்றுவிடும்.

சங்க மத்யே ஸ்திதம் தோயம் ப்ராமிதம் சங்கரோபரி அங்க லக்ஷ்ணம் மனுஷ்யானாம் ப்ரம்ம ஹத்யாதிகம் தஹேத் என்பது வேதவாக்கு.

பசும்பாலை சுக்ர ஓரையில் வில்வ மரத்திற்கு ஊற்றவும். 24 வெள்ளிக்கிழமை செய்திட நிச்சியமாக பணம் வரும்.
பாசிப்பருப்பை ஒரு பச்சை பையில் மூட்டையாக கட்டி தலையடியில் வைத்து உறங்கி மறுநாள் அதனை ஒரு பிளாஸ்டிக் பையில் கொட்டி மூடி ஓடும் நீரில் விடவும் பணப்பிரச்சனை தீரும்.

தினசரி குளிக்கும் முன் பசுந்தயிரை உடல் முழுவதும் தடவி சிறிது நேரம் சென்று குளிக்க தரித்திரம் விலகும்.

 சனிப்பெயர்ச்சிக்கு ஆலயம் சென்று தொழுவதே சாலவும் நன்று. குறிப்பாக திருநள்ளாறு திருத்தலத்தில் சனி கிரகத்தின் கதிர்வீச்சு அதிகமாக இருப்பதாக பக்தர்கள் நம்புகிறார்கள். இங்குள்ள சனி பகவான் கிழக்கு திசை நோக்கி, அனுக்கிரக மூர்த்தியாக அபய வரத முத்திரையுடன் அருளாட்சி செய்கிறார். இங்கு சென்று ஒரு நாள் தங்கி வழிபடுவது நல்லது. சனிப் பெயர்ச்சிக்கு பல லட்சம் பேர் வழிபட வருவதால் அன்று செல்ல முடியாதவர்கள் பதினைந்து நாள் முன்போ, பின்போகூட செல்லலாம். திருக்கொள்ளிக்காட்டில் உள்ள சனீஸ்வரர் பொங்குசனீஸ்வரராக அருள் பாலிக்கிறார். 

  

திருநள்ளாரில் வழிபடும் முறை

திருநள்ளாறு வருபவர்கள் சனி பகவானை வழிபடுவதுர்க்கு முன்பு அங்குள்ள நளதீர்த்தம் சென்று அந்த குளத்தை வலமாக வலம் வர வேண்டும். பிறகு, குளத்தின் நடுவில் இருக்கும் நளச்சக்கரவர்த்தி, தமயந்தி உருவச் சிலைகளை வழிபட வேண்டும். தொடர்ந்து, நல்லெண்ணையை தலையில் தேய்த்துக் கொண்டு வடக்கு முகமாகவோ அல்லது கிழக்கு முகமகாகவோ அந்த தீர்த்தத்தில் 9 முறை தலை முழுக்காட வேண்டும். நீராடி முடித்த பிறகு பிரம்ம தீர்த்தம், சரசுவதி ஆகிய திருக்குளத்திலும் தண்ணீர் தெளித்துக் கொள்ளலாம். குளக்கரையில் உள்ள நளன் கலிதீர்த்த விநாயகர் கோவிலுக்குச் சென்று வழிபட்டு பின்னர் வெளியில் வந்து கற்பூரம் ஏற்றி, தேங்காய் உடைப்பது வழக்கம். பிறகு கோவிலுக்குள் நுழைந்து வலமாக வந்து சொர்ண கணபதியை முதலில் வழிபட்டு, சுப்பிரமணியர் சன்னதியை தரிசனம் செய்து கொண்டு கருவறையை நோக்கி செல்ல வேண்டும். அங்கு அருள் புரியும் இறைவனான தர்பாரண்யேசுவரருக்கு அர்ச்சனை, பூசைகள் செய்த பிறகு தியாகேசர் சன்னதியை தரிசிக்க வேண்டும்.

அதன் பிறகு சனி பகவானை தரிசிக்க வேண்டும், அவரவர் சக்திக்கு ஏற்றபடி சனிபகவானுக்கு அர்ச்சனை, தீப ஆராதனை, அபிசேகம், யாகம், தர்ப்பணம், தானம், நவ நமசுகாரம், நவ பிரதட்சணம் போன்றவற்றை செய்யலாம். காலை, மாலை இரு வேலைகளிலும் சனி பகவானை நவ பிரதட்சணம் செய்வது நல்ல பலன் தரும்.

இங்கு நள தீர்த்தம்,பிரம்ம தீர்த்தம், சரஸ்வதி தீர்த்தம் என்ற மூன்று தீர்த்தக்குளங்கள் இருக்கின்றன. சனித்தொல்லை தீர, நள தீர்த்ததிலும், முந்திய சாபங்களுக்கு விமோசம் பெற பிரம்ம தீர்த்தத்திலும், கல்வி மேன்மை பெற, சரஸ்வதி தீர்த்தத்திலும்,நீராடி ஈசனை வழிபட பலன் கிட்டும் என்பது நம்பிக்கை. சரஸ்வதி தீர்த்தத்தில் நீராடினால் மூடன் கூட கவி பாடும்திறமை பெறுவாராம்.

மதுரை மாவட்டம், தேனியிலிருந்து இருபது கி.மீ. தூரத்தில் உள்ள குச்சனூரிலும் சனீசுவரர் மிக கீர்த்தி பெற்றவராக விளங்குகிறார். கல்தூண் போன்ற உருவத்தில சுயம்புவாக எழுந்தருளியுள்ளார். நாமக்கல் அருகிலுள்ள தத்தகிரி முருகன் ஆலயத்தில் அமர்ந்த நிலையில் எட்டடி உயரமான சனீஸ்வரர் மேற்கு நோக்கி ஆலயம் கொண்டுள்ளார். சென்னை மேற்கு மாம்பலம் வெங்கடாசலம் தெருவில் 'வட திருநள்ளாறு' என்ற பெயரில் மனைவியுடன் அற்புதக் காட்சி தருகிறார் சனீஸ்வரர். மும்பையில் சனீஸ்வரனுக்கு சிறிய தனிக் கோயில்கள் நிறைய உண்டு. நாசிக் அருகிலுள்ள சனி சிங்கணாப்பூரில் சனி பகவான் நான்கடிக்கு மேற்பட்ட உயரத்தில் பாறை வடிவில் சுயம்புவாகக் காட்சி தருகிறார். இந்த சனி பகவானை ஆண்கள் மட்டுமே சுத்தமாகக் குளித்து ஆலயத்திலேயே கிடைக்கும் ஆடை அணிந்து பூசிக்கலாம். பெண்கள் விலகி நின்றே தரிசிக்க வேண்டும்.

சனிக்கு உகந்த தானியம் எள். அதனால் எள் சாதம், நல்லெண்ணெய் தீபம் ஆகியவை கொண்டு அவரை வழிபடலாம். சனிக்கு உகந்தவர்கள் ஆஞ்சநேயர், விநாயகர், பெருமாள். ஆஞ்சநேயருக்கு வெண்ணெய் சார்த்தி, உளுந்து வடை மாலை சாற்றி, உள்ளன்போடு துதிக்க சனியின் துன்பங்கள் குறையும். புரட்டாசி சனி விரதம் இருப்போர் எள்ளு சாத நிவேதனம் செய்து, விநியோகம் செய்ய வேண்டும். வெயில் தாக்கத்தைக் குறைக்க தமிழகம், புதுவையில் அனைத்து சிவாலயங்களிலும், தாரா பாத்திரம் அமைத்து நீர் நிரப்பி, சுவாமிகளுக்கு அபிஷேகம் செய்யவேண்டுமென ஆதிசைவ சிவாச்சாரியார் சங்கம் வலியுறுத்தியுள்ளது.  Procedure to be followed in Shani Temple:

First goto the Nalakolam
2.New Black towel (only the male devotees) after that leave it there or donate it
3.Put some til oil on head, on body parts
4.Take the bath in the kolam and then donate that black towel to the beggers there or leave the towel there itself,dont bring that towel back to home 
5.Go to the place where to keep the Iron frying pan, Iron Frying spoon, pour the 1 lit of Til oil intothat, put Rs2/- coins from each one of us, see the face in the oil, dip the cotton batti in the oiland light it.
6.Head towards the Shani temple, offer the Dhana there and then head towards the Shiva Temple7.

In case, with the rules we get to go the Shiva Temple, and then Shani temple, go one more time to Shiva temple after the ShaniDarshan. Once visit Shiva temple 2^nd time, dont look at the Shaniagain8.

After darshan, go to the Ganesha temple near the nalakolam, take one coconut for the family(one for each family member is ideal), do the drushti for rotating the coconut 3 times for eachmember and break that coconut.
