Face packs with neem leaves
- Make a smooth paste of a bunch of neem leaves. Add one tablespoon of curd to it. Add one table spoon of besan powder. Apply over your face and wash after it dries.
- Make a paste of one teaspoon of multani mitti, one teaspoon of neem leaves paste and juice of one lime. Blend well and apply all over your face and neck. Wash when it dries.
Hair packs with neem
- Make a smooth paste of neem leaves. Take a bowl and add half a cup of sour curd to it. Mix in the neem paste. Add the powder of dry hibiscus flowers. Blend well and apply in every strands of your hair. It is good for dandruff and initiates excellent hair growth.
- Soak one tablespoon of fenugreek. Make a smooth paste and add one tablespoon of neem paste. Mix it thoroughly and apply. Your hair will gleam and shine.

Besan powder can form the base for any
exfoliating agent as it gives your skin a natural glow.

Add sugar to besan powder and mix well. Scrub
for five minutes and rinse.

Take the juice of one lime, add baking soda to
it and scrub for five minutes and feel your skin glow.

Ground coffee powder can give you a high-quality
exfoliation. Caffeine in coffee powder has anti inflammatory properties and is
good for your skin. Do not throw away the used coffee powder. Add it to besan
powder and make a paste. Apply over your face, neck and scrub. Wash with warm
water.

How often can I exfoliate? Twice a week would be
apt, but if your skin is sensitive once a week will do. Do not be too harsh
while you are exfoliating as you might damage your tender skin. Your kitchen
can provide you with lots and lots of wonder remedies for your many skin

skin. Instead use besan powder as it gives sheen to your skin. I add a teaspoon
of baking soda to two tablespoon of besan powder to wash my face. Baking soda
exfoliates your skin while besan powder cleanses it without rupturing your
tender skin.

Mix all the ingredients and make a smooth paste.
Apply over your hair and wash after half an hour.Henna has the tendency to give
your hair a slightly brown tint, but it is very effective in making your hair
grow.

gooseberry and add it 100 grams of oil and prepare it as you did for curry
leaves oil. Take an iron pan and pour the prepared oil into it and leave it
overnight. The mixture would have turned dark and now apply the oil in your
hair and watch your hair regaining its health and sheen.

Herbal oil
·
If you use herbal oil there is no adverse side
effects and the result is very good and immediate. Do not use scented oil as the
harsh chemicals can do damage to your hair roots. Unscented oil is always a lot
better and natural oil prepared at home is even better. You can use coconut
oil, gingerly oil or olive oil for applying it daily in your hair and also for
hair massage and hair growth.

Ordinary Indian curry leaves are very good for
lustrous and strong hair. Its immense iron content makes it good for hair
growth. Take a bunch of curry leaves and 100 grams of oil of your preference.
Heat the pan and pour the oil in it and add the curry leaves. Keep the flame in
low and keep stirring till the spluttering sound subsides. Remove and strain
through a muslin cloth and store it in an air tight container.

Henna leaves are another good activator of hair
growth. Like the curry leaves it makes your hair grow. The preparation is the
same as above. Do not over heat the oil. The flame should always be low and not
high as it will burn the leaves. Take a bunch of henna leaves and add it to 100
grams of oil and stir till the boiling sound ceases. It is cheap, but the
results are excellent.

Another trick is to buy an iron pan. You can get
it in India but I do not know whether it is available elsewhere. A small pan
will do. Pour oil in the pan and add dried Indian gooseberry to it and leave it
overnight .The oil will turn black and when you apply it in your hair it will
give a natural black tint to your hair and Indian gooseberry is also very good
for healthy hair growth.

Scrape a full coconut and blend it to make a
smooth paste. Extract thick milk and pour it in a pan. Keep the fire low and
keep stirring and gradually you will see oil coming out. Keep stirring until
you feel oil has completely oozed out of the coconut milk. This is the purest
form of coconut oil, devoid of any chemicals and so is very good for your hair.

Aloe Vera is another great hair growth inducer.
Take the pulp and mix it with oil of your preference. Place it in the pan and
stir over low flame. Remove from fire when the oil ceases spluttering and store
in a tight container.

Another trick you should follow is to place the
prepared oil in the hot sun so that you can get the nutrition of vitamin D in
your oil. Indian women are adept in making use of the natural things available
to make their hair the envy of others. It is a treat to watch their long plait
undulating when they walk and the flowers they bedeck their hair emit a lovely
fragrance when they are nearby.

For eating up product build up sodium
bicarbonate or baking soda reigns supreme at breaking down
anything acidic.

Mix 1-2 tbsp baking soda with small amounts of
water until you have a thick paste. Apply to damp hair by massaging it in well
and leave for 15 minutes.

Rinse with warm water and shampoo as normal.
Apply this treatment every couple of weeks.
